Lorie Almon is chair and managing partner of Seyfarth, where she oversees global operations with responsibility for the leadership, direction, growth, profitability, and culture of the entire law firm. She is one of just a small number of women to hold the top leadership position at an Am Law 100 firm. Ms. Almon has been a member of Seyfarth’s Executive Committee since 2016 and previously served as co-managing partner of the firm’s New York office for 18 years. As a practicing lawyer, Ms. Almon is a highly regarded leader in the field of complex employment litigation. She has served as lead counsel in discrimination class actions and multi-district cases, chairing teams of attorneys across the country. Ms. Almon also specializes in defending companies faced with high profile claims asserted by senior executives. Ms. Almon has earned widespread recognition for her professional accomplishments. Crain’s New York Business named her as one of the Notable Women in Law for 2023. The New York chapter of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives of Law honored Ms. Almon with its 2023 Inspiration Award. In her first full year of practice, Ms. Almon was also honored as "Legal Rookie of the Year" by the City of New York, for which she litigated significant constitutional and federal questions. Ms. Almon was awarded Seyfarth Shaw's “Inspirational Leadership Award” in acknowledgement of her commitment to Jumpstart, and to involving those around her in making a difference in the community.
