TJX is committed to delivering great value to our communities by helping vulnerable families and children access the resources and opportunities they need to build a better future. As part of that commitment, TJX is proud to be the Exclusive Presenting Sponsor for Jumpstart’s Read for the Record, which brings together over 2 million adults and children around the world each year to read the same book on the same day in order to raise awareness about the critical importance of early literacy and access to high-quality books. In addition, TJX’s grants support a Book Grant Program to donate up to 10,000 books directly to undeserved communities across the country.
I’m beyond thrilled that TJX is again the exclusive Presenting Sponsor for Jumpstart’s Annual Read for the Record. This is a special event for Jumpstart and TJX as this event brings together over 2 million adults and children to raise awareness of the critical importance of early literacy. I’m proud of the many TJX Associates who come together with their families and their communities each year to help Jumpstart Read for the Record.

Read for the Record Special Edition
Jumpstart’s Read for the Record special edition of Nigel and the Moon by Antwan Eady is available in English and Spanish!
When Nigel looks up at the moon, his future is bright. He imagines himself as…an astronaut, a dancer, a superhero, too! Among the stars, he twirls. With pride, his chest swells. And his eyes, they glow. Nigel is the most brilliant body in the sky. But it’s Career Week at school, and Nigel can’t find the courage to share his dreams. It’s easy to whisper them to the moon, but not to his classmates—especially when he already feels out of place.
Jumpstart’s team works with our selected publishing partner to create a special paperback edition of the campaign book with exclusive content.
Available in English or Spanish:
