Jumpstart is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
In several areas of the Jumpstart website, you have the option to sign up or register for specific information or events. In doing so, you provide us with contact information which we will use to share with you the specific information you requested, as well as to send periodic programmatic or promotional email communications. By signing up for email updates, you may receive print mail communications from Jumpstart as well. To request that Jumpstart no longer send you electronic or printed communications, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are various application and sign-up sections on the Jumpstart website containing input forms which require your name, e-mail address, and other information. By submitting such forms, you give Jumpstart permission to contact you with messages that are related to your interest in Jumpstart. All disclosure to Jumpstart is voluntary and you may at any time decide to rescind the information you provided to us by contacting email@example.com.
Jumpstart will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, such as to ship a book order or process an online credit card donation.
Jumpstart takes serious precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via our website, your information is protected both online and offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (including to but not limited to credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted securely. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Jumpstart maintains a comprehensive Written Information Security Program Policy that is updated annually.
On occasion, Jumpstart recognizes and thanks donors publicly. If you would prefer not to be recognized, or that your gift remain anonymous, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
