Pledge to Read

Now that you have your books ordered, let us know how many people you plan to read with — whether its 2 readers or 2,000, we can’t wait to read with you! Click here to pledge to read with us.

Spread the Word

Read for the Record is the world’s largest shared reading experience, bringing people across the country and around the world together to read the same book on the same day and share the joy and connection of reading. Check back on the Activities and Resources Page later this summer or use our social media tools to tell your friends and family about Read for the Record and invite them to join!

Read with us on Read for the Record Day

Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 28, 2021!

Let Us Know How You Did

After reading, report the total number of children and adults you read with on the big day to help us tally our total as we try to beat our own record for most people reading the same book on the same day.

Together, we can help all children build the key language and literacy skills they need to take on the world.
