Gen2Gen & Read for the Record

Join Read for the Record® and read to young children in your community!

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is a campaign to highlight the importance of early literacy, and the power of reading with a caring adult.

Join us on October 19, 2017 to be a part of the world’s largest shared reading experience — bringing together over 2 million people each year in classrooms, libraries, community centers, and homes across the US. This annual campaign was launched over a decade ago to highlight the importance of building early literacy and language skills for EVERY child, so that all children have the opportunity to enter kindergarten prepared to succeed.

Here’s how you can create a Read for the Record event in your community!

Get Jumpstart’s 2017 Read for the Record book, Quackers, by Liz Wong, to share with young children in your community.
