Join us for cocktails, small plates, and breathtaking city views at this celebration to benefit our community’s youngest learners.

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record gathers children and families from around the world each October to highlight the importance of early literacy and reading with young children. This Wrap Party celebrates the close of this year’s Read for the Record, as well as the work that Jumpstart does day-in and –out to serve the children of Los Angeles.

Featured Guest

Liz Wong | Author of Quackers. Liz Wong was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she spent her early childhood painting and clambering about in mango trees. Winning the first place trophy in her elementary school poster contest encouraged her to pursue art instead of a sensible career in finance like the rest of her family. Liz holds a BFA in Art and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Washington and currently resides in Edmonds, Washington with her husband and son. She continues to alternately delight and exasperate her family to this day.
