Jumpstart Celebrates the 5th Anniversary of ‘An Evening with Jumpstart’ in Westport

Event to Raise Funds to Help Connecticut Children Succeed in Kindergarten and Beyond

May 15, 2018 (SOUTHPORT, CT) — On July 21, 2018, Brian and Krisztina Rivel of Westport will chair An Evening with Jumpstart, at the Westport Inn. This year marks the 5th anniversary of this annual fundraising event, which will welcome over 125 guests from Fairfield and Westchester counties for a lively evening to raise funds and awareness to support high-quality early learning programs for all Connecticut children. The event will feature a silent and live auction, a gourmet dinner featuring cuisine prepared by Garelick & Herbs, plus live music and an open bar.

“I am thrilled to have the chance to support Jumpstart’s amazing work here in Connecticut with the 5th anniversary of this incredible event,” said Rivel. “The critical early education programming that Jumpstart provides wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our supporters each year, and we are looking forward to another wonderful event!”

All proceeds will go towards supporting and expanding the Jumpstart program in under-served communities throughout Connecticut, giving even more Connecticut children access to the support and resources that will help them succeed in kindergarten and beyond. At the 2017 event, over 90 attendees raised $42,000 for local Jumpstart programs.

In Connecticut, Jumpstart works with several university partners including University of Hartford, Trinity College, Central Connecticut State University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Southern Connecticut State University, and the University of Connecticut, to recruit and train college students to serve young children in early learning centers across the state.
