January 16, 2018 (BROOKLYN, NY) — Last week, employees from Penguin Random House celebrated their Community Day of Service by volunteering with one of Jumpstart’s preschool partners, First Step SCO, in Brooklyn. The volunteers spent the morning doing activities with the children, including reading one of Jumpstart’s favorite former Read for the Record books, Llama Llama Red Pajama, and making llama puppets with the students.
In addition, the Penguin Random House volunteers donated 100 limited edition sets of Llama Llama Red Pajama, which also included seven audio book versions of the story. The donation of these sets meant that every child in the center was able to take a copy of the book home for their at-home library collection. Thank you to the Penguin Random House volunteers for spending the morning with Jumpstart!
