Boston University School of Education: Jumpstarting Freshman Year With Jumpstart

BOSTON (August 11, 2017) — Boston University School of Education student Shea Cody shared her experience serving as a Corps member at Jumpstart in a blog post for the School. For Shea, Jumpstart’s program provides a welcome change of pace from course work and allows her to serve her community.

Today, as a Jumpstart team leader, I can’t tell you how happy I am to be helping teach preschoolers 2-3 times a week. I am not only helping close the learning gap between high and low-income communities, but I am making a difference in the lives of each of my students every time I step in the classroom.

Head over to the blog post to read more of Shea’s story.
