Arizona Workforce Pathways Recruitment in Full Swing!

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (July 2017) — Recruitment has been going strong for the third year of Jumpstart’s Arizona Workforce Pathways program! This program provides early childhood education training to teachers in preschools with limited resources that serve children from low-income communities. In addition to receiving customized training, participating teachers enroll in courses for college credit, learn how to integrate Jumpstart’s developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum into their lessons, and receive ongoing support and coaching to improve their classroom practice. Approximately thirty-five preschool teachers will be in the program’s fall cohort, with another twenty starting in the spring.

With the support of strong local partners such as Valley of the Sun United Way and Helios Education Foundation, the Steele Foundation, and more, Jumpstart is excited to be working toward systemic change in Arizona, a state that is committed to improving the quality of early childhood education for all its children.
