SAN FRANCISCO (May 24, 2017) — Charles Schwab employees teamed up with Jumpstart for a fun and creative afternoon as a part of their annual Volunteers Week celebration. Schwab volunteers, or “Schwabbies,” helped to create “Welcome to Jumpstart” kits to go to children when they start with Jumpstart next fall.
“I don’t think of it as a jump start, I think of it as an equal start.” These words kicked of our volunteer activities at the Charles Schwab San Francisco offices.
What followed was the creation of 210 Alphabet Scavenger Hunt Kits and 315 Family & Friend Bookmarks, which will be included in the kits given to all of Jumpstart’s partner children in San Francisco and Oakland at the start of this coming school year. All of Jumpstart’s partner children will also receive a new book to take home with these kits.
Thank you to the Charles Schwab team for their partnership in our movement towards the day every child enter kindergarten prepared to succeed!
