2016 Fall Celebration at the London in Los Angeles

On October 20, 2016, Jumpstart executives, board members, and supporters gathered at The London in Los Angeles for the 2nd annual Jumpstart Fall Celebration. With warm weather and astounding views of the city, The London was the perfect setting for guests to learn about Jumpstart’s mission, make new connections, and introduce those new to Jumpstart to the remarkable members and supporters of our organization. Throughout the evening, guests heard from several speakers who eloquently voiced the urgency of Jumpstart’s vision and mission, including Jumpstart’s newest national board member, actor Josh Duhamel.

Alex Johnson, Vice President of the LA County Board of Education, highlighted the moral imperative of early learning and the long-term impact that front-end investments like early education can have on children from under-resourced communities, and Jumpstart alum, Jourdan Ringgold, the first in her family to graduate from college, provided living proof of how such investments can create lasting change and a generation of leaders.

Thank you to those who gave so generously and helped make this year’s Fall Celebration such a resounding success! It was wonderful to see so many people united by a single purpose: providing quality early education to all children, regardless of their circumstance. Check out photos from the event below and stay tuned for more information on next year’s celebration!
