I have always loved the month of September. As a child, it meant a time for new clothes, new teachers and, hopefully, new friends too. Now as a parent, September represents new opportunities and challenges for not only my children but for me as their mother. I know that every parent must feel this excitement and uncertainty of what new experiences lay ahead.
For many families, Jumpstart provides a wonderful opportunity to be ready for all the exciting changes that incoming kindergarteners will face. Being ready to read opens a whole new world for every person, and Jumpstart’s Corps members bring this possibility to the children and families they serve.
This September, Winston Flowers proudly partners with Jumpstart again to ensure that during National Literacy Month, and every month, Jumpstart continues to nurture and educate our youngest readers. We hope you will consider participating in Winston Flowers’ Charity in Bloom program.
During the month of September, 20% of all proceeds raised from the sales of our Charity in Bloom arrangements will be donated to Jumpstart. Whether a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or remembrance, the Charity in Bloom arrangements will not only be a wonderful way to acknowledge a loved one or occasion, but it will also be a thoughtful way to remember the special mentors that you may have had in your young life, as well.
