When I decided to return to the non-profit sector, I knew I wanted to work with an organization whose work was impactful and transformative. Ideally that work would be with children, address true reform, and bring systemic change to communities in need.
That’s when I found Jumpstart.
Here’s an organization that’s changing the lives of our children in low-income communities by teaching them the critical skills they need to increase the likelihood of breaking the cycle of poverty.
To my wonderful surprise, Jumpstart benefits more than just children. Our program benefits an entire community. The experience, training, and perspective our Corps members gain is incredible, as is the growth and empowerment of the families we support. In my short time here, I’ve already seen and felt the tangible transformation Jumpstart’s work inspires—both today and for generations to come.
I’m extremely honored to join an incredible team of committed staff, volunteers, supporters, Corps members, and alumni, whose passion and joy is contagious and inspiring. For the first time in my career, I feel I’m with the right people—it’s the right time and we’re tackling one the most important causes.
At Jumpstart, I’ve found my tribe. I know that, together, we will continue to do wonderful things for our children, our future educators, and our community.
