MassNonProfit.org: Four Mass. Nonprofits Named Among Top 50 in the Country

April 4, 2013 – MassNonProfit.org reports on Jumpstart being named one of The NonProfit Time's “Best Nonprofits to Work For.”

Four Massachusetts nonprofit organizations, with one having only 15 employees, have been cited, along with 46 others across the country, as being the best nonprofits to work for in the United States.

The ranking, published by The NonProfit Times based on data compiled by Best Companies Group (BCG) of Harrisburg, Penn., was based on information provided by each nonprofit relating to benefits, employment, and other practices.

In addition, employees completed a confidential survey of statements pertaining to leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits, and overall employee engagement.

“Organizations that make the list have been successful in creating unique cultures where employees love to come to work,” said BCG President Peter Burke, quoted in The NonProfit Times. “The leaders of the winning organizations understand their cultural values and they live their cultural values.”
