Jumpstart welcomes Anjan Mukherjee to its Board of Directors

BOSTON, MA, April 13, 2012 – Jumpstart, a national early education non-profit organization, announced today the appointment of Anjan Mukherjee to its board of directors. Mukherjee will join a team of business leaders, philanthropists, and academics including Chris Stadler, Jumpstart board chairman and Managing Director of CVC Capital Partners, as it leads the organization in preparing preschool-aged children from low-income communities to enter kindergarten with the skills necessary for success.

Mukherjee is a Senior Managing Director in the Private Equity Group at Blackstone in New York City. Mukherjee joined Blackstone in 2001. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Mukherjee was with Thomas H. Lee Company and Morgan Stanley & Co. Mr. Mukherjee received a BA from Harvard University where he graduated magna cum laude as a Harry S. Truman Scholar, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a Director of Polymer Group, TeleTech Holdings and Emedon, Inc.
