I wanted to get involved with Jumpstart mainly for two reasons. First of all, it seemed like a really unique work-study job. Also, I decided to be a part of Jumpstart because I appreciated what the program was aiming to do with children from low-income backgrounds. What I feel like is my most significant achievement with Jumpstart is becoming a more patient person. I've always been a little high strung, but working with children, I realized that wasn't going to work. I've had to learn how to get my point across in a way that someone a lot younger than me can understand.
