ACCESS HOLLYWOOD'S SHAUN ROBINSON HELPS TO HONOR JUMPSTART CORPS MEMBERS Shaun Robinson, host of Access Hollywood, lent her support to Jumpstart recently, hosting a celebration event for the American Eagle (AE) Spirit of Service Awards. The awards recognize outstanding Jumpstart Corps members with a college scholarship. Shaun had dinner with the 10 college student finalists, and presented a $5,000 scholarship from AE to five winners: Matt Andereck (DePaul University - Chicago), Elizabeth Bauer (Tufts University - Boston), Lara Goetsch (University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire), Ashley Gomes (California State University - Fresno), and Shari Kurtzman (Suffolk University - Boston). Additional finalists received a $1,000 scholarship from AE including: Michael Baulier (Northeastern University - Boston), Serena Handley (Emerson College - Boston), Anne Jennings (University of Virginia - Charlottesville), Heather Little (University of Missouri - Kansas City), and Brittany Oliver (University of Rochester).
JUMPSTART TO LAUNCH SEVEN NEW SITES As Jumpstart prepares to launch its 15th program year, we're proud to announce the addition of seven new sites to our network. In 2007-2008, Jumpstart will expand its reach to Pace University (New York City), the University of Connecticut, Boston University, Emerson College, University of the District of Columbia, University of California - Berkeley, and Stanford University. Jumpstart's network will now include over 3,500 Corps members serving nearly 14,000 children, bringing us one step closer to the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.
