Individual ActivitiesThe Jumpstart model is designed to promote young children's school success by building language, literacy, and social skills. Our Corps members, trained college mentors, use these activities with children during Jumpstart sessions throughout the school year and during family and community learning events. You can also use these activities to support your child's school success.Every Jumpstart activity contains specific instructions for how to make it a learning-rich experience. We've also included children's book suggestions so that you and your child can share a book as part of the activity. Most of the materials used for each activity are low cost and can be easily found around the house or in the neighborhood.
