Mark Nieker

President, Pearson Foundation

Mark Nieker is the president and executive director of the Pearson Foundation, the non-profit arm of international media company Pearson. The Pearson Foundation extends Pearson's commitment to education in partnership with non-profit and public interest organizations, working with leading businesses and civic groups to support students and teachers and to sponsor community-based education programs across the globe. Nieker oversees Pearson's philanthropic activity worldwide, supporting programs created with non-profit including Jumpstart, the National Academy Foundation, BookAid and the Women's Commission, and developing education partnerships with public and private partners including Nokia, Intel, the Cisco Learning Institute and the US State Department's Middle East Partnership Initiative.
