Jennifer K. Marrus comes to Jumpstart’s National Board with a wealth of experiences in the for-profit and non-profit arenas. Prior to joining the National Board, Jennifer worked as the Vice President for Small Business Marketing at American Express, was Operations Manager for a small manufacturing company and worked for the City of New York advising small businesses. She was first introduced to Jumpstart while running a volunteer consulting organization at Harvard and led the team that created Jumpstart’s first growth/replication model. As a founding member of Jumpstart’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Board over ten years ago, and its chair for 8 years, Jennifer has focused on grassroots and peer-to-peer fundraising strategies specifically designed to grow a small non-profit toward long-term sustainability. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In addition to her work with Jumpstart, Jennifer actively volunteers at her children's schools including building a library at their preschool. She lives in the Tribeca area of New York City with her husband and two young children.
